Weightless, literally. In a new study published in the journal Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, CBD oil was found to give fat-cells a run for their money. There were three big things that were discovered:
First, the number of mitochondria that are working to create energy are increased with CBD use. Energy levels increased, which allows you to work out harder and use greater amounts of glucose floating in your blood. The more glucose you use the less that is turned into fat.
Your jeans aren’t the only thing that is motivating you—so are your genes. Second, CBD oil stimulates genes to produce proteins that enhance the oxidation (breakdown) of fats into energy. Yet another energy increase! And direct use of those pesky fat cells.
Thirdly, and most importantly, CBD oil can decrease the amount of fat cells being created by decreasing the amount of proteins involved in lipogenesis (fat cell formation).
